Dear Friends in Grace,

Presiding Bishop Easton ELCA speaks on the spread of Covid-19 on a video message.  She says, "this is a disruptive time and also a time to act as faithful people of God."  (see the link below)

Our council has decided to suspend Sunday's services, Lenten Thursday's casserole gathering and video study, and Good Friday Service as of March 18, 2020. Council will review the status of the virus at the end of March.  Support Groups:  AA, Compassionate Friends, Food Pantry, NA, and OA will meet following CDC guidelines and sanitizing.  We are planning devotions for our website.

In the meantime, we invite you to be in contact via telephone, e-mail, and sending notes to your neighbors.  Continued regular giving via mail supports our overall mission and ministry as well as the church facility.

As faithful people of God pray, read the Bible, sing or listen to hymns of praise, and breathe deeply trusting in Spirit and Truth the presence of God.

Let us pray:  God, our peace and our strength, we pray for our nation and the world as we face new uncertainties around corona-virus.  Protect the most vulnerable among us, especially all who are currently sick or in isolation.  Grant wisdom, patience, and clarity to health care workers, especially as their work caring for others puts them at great risk.  Guide us as we consider how best to prepare and respond in our families, congregations, workplaces, and communities. Give us courage to face these days not with fear but with compassion, concern, and acts of service, trusting that you abide with us always; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen. (ELCA Prayer)

Love to Christ, Pastor Kevin
